Description
As a parent AND clinician passionate about supporting neurodivergent children in the classroom, I’m excited to introduce our resource for 2024!
A practical printable designed to empower our primary school children to self-advocate for what supports and accommodations they might need in the classroom!
This printable acts as a bridge, offering valuable insights into the strengths, sensory, social and learning needs of each neurodivergent child.
It’s a tool you complete with your neurodivergent child (or client) which equips teachers with the knowledge to create inclusive and supportive environments tailored to each child. From preferences for communication and sensory sensitivities to individual classroom supports, this resource will help you ensure that every child’s unique strengths and needs are understood and celebrated in the classroom setting.
Includes:
* A simple introduction to me page * A support team page * Safety first: fight, flight, freeze, fawn responses and strategies for supports * Sensory preferences and patterns specific to each child  * Routine, social and learning preferences for the classroom * a summary sheet  * an example of a completed form – which also has lots of ideas for supports!
